I first traveled to the Amazonian jungles of Peru through the Trelex Residency in 2016. Deeply moved by the pristine jungles and the tremendous efforts of conservationists, I returned to the jungle in 2017. In collaboration with Rainforest Expeditions team I focused on bringing awareness to the Tambopata Macaw Project through painting the endangered birds. Working closely with researchers and vets I was able to capture a truly unique moment of human and animal interaction on the front lines of the fight for conservation in the Amazon.
